Les Mis review

Les Miserables, while it was a major task to take on, Cheshire Academy succeeded. The small yet multifaceted set created a world in which the students were able to unfold the world of France. The use of triangles with the background painted on each side was also a genius way to create the world of a war wrecked country.

The lead singers tackled their roles very well, and it was impressive how much a junior or senior in high school could accomplish. It is an emotionally challenging show to put on for such young people, when students can seamlessly it shows a level of maturity that is not normally developed until college or even after.

The company as a whole were able to make it look as if they were struggling and poor, as well as they were versatile in their roles. The girl who ran the old man over in the cart crash was able to seem guilty and genuinely upset about what happened and I would like to personally inform her of this.

The comic relief was delivered by an innkeeper and his wife. They brought smiles and laughter to everyone around, whether it be on or off stage. I loved how they used sadistic jokes, and their thievery to create humor.

Overall the show was a success and I wish that I had a chance to see it again. Everything seemed to be seamless and without flaw. I'm so very proud and honored to have experienced this personally. Whoever hasn't seen it should definitely go watch it on YouTube. It is something to be raved about.
